Free Summer Lunch Program
Fairmont City, IL

Let’s play at the park! We bring the food and we bring the FUN! This volunteer team serves Fairmont City families by providing sack lunches, hang-time activities under the park pavilion, playground activities, and organized soccer games. The purpose of this summer lunch program is to show Jesus’ love to families while connecting them to our Hispanic Church Plant, The Bridge of Hope, located in Fairmont City. The Bridge of Hope offers weekly children's programming, along with Spanish-speaking adult Bible studies. The Christian Activity Center in Fairmont City is also impacting this community by providing after school tutoring, cooking/sewing classes, art camps, life-skill classes, and much more.

DETAILS:

  • Open for families, preteens, and students
  • No cost, just bring a heart to serve
  • Offered every Wednesday for 10 weeks, beginning June 7 - August 9
  • REQUIRED to pre-register online for each Wednesday you would like to serve.
  • 25 team members needed each Wednesday
  • Team preparation and leadership training will begin inside the FBMaryville Gym at 9:30 a.m.
  • Team members will return back to FBMaryville by approximately 2:30 p.m.
  • No lunch is needed. Team members will eat a provided sack lunch.

Free Summer Lunch Program
St. Louis, MO (not far from the St. Louis Zoo)

Let’s head across the river and hang out with some incredible inner-city kids at Compton Heights Baptist Church! This volunteer team serves kids and teens by providing sack lunches, Bible story time, hang-time activities inside the church building, outdoor activities, and organized basketball games. FBMaryville supports the youth of Compton Heights Baptist Church by providing monthly children's programming, as well as facilitating a week-long summer camp held in Macomb, IL. The purpose of this summer lunch program is to strengthen established relationships while displaying an authentic love, one that always points them back to Jesus.

  • No cost, just bring energy and a heart to serve
  • Offered on Wednesdays, June 14, July 12, July 26, August 2
  • REQUIRED to pre-register online for each Wednesday you would like to serve.
  • 10 team members needed each Wednesday
  • Team preparation and leadership training will begin inside the FBMaryville Gym at 9:30 a.m.
  • Team members will return back to FBMaryville by approximately 2:30 p.m.
  • No lunch is needed. Team members will eat a provided sack lunch.

Construction Work at the Christian Activity Center
East St. Louis

Let’s get ready to get our hands dirty and get ‘er done! This volunteer team serves the Christian Activity Center (CAC) of East St. Louis by helping with various levels of construction/repair needs throughout the CAC campus. FBMaryville supports the CAC of East St. Louis by offering a summer T-ball league, hosting an annual block party, as well as providing supplies needed throughout the year. The purpose of this summer construction program is to provide tangible support to this center which prepares youth of this area for successful futures: spiritually, academically, and physically.

DETAILS:

  • Open for preteens, students, and adults
  • No cost, just bring hands that are ready to work
  • Offered every Wednesday for 10 weeks, beginning June 7 - August 9
  • REQUIRED to pre-register online for each Wednesday you would like to serve.
  • 15 team members needed each Wednesday
  • Team members will depart FBMaryville at 9:00 a.m. and return back to the church at approximately 3:30 p.m.
  • Please bring a brown bag lunch and a water bottle.
