Dominican Republic | Medical Trip
Our trip to the Dominican is over, but not the hope that we have made an impact towards the health and wellbeing of the friends we made while we were there. With the help of the Cercadillo Project members and the First Baptist Maryville family, a few individuals came together to share their knowledge of basic medical care in an attempt to improve the lives of an entire village.
The women of the village were attentive to every word and were given reference materials to help grow their understanding so that they may better serve their community. The mother's of the MOPS group learned how to help their babies and children in case of emergencies. The firefighters of the town were impressed with all the useful tips and expertise emergency information that was shared with them.
The group has been asked to come back and continue the knowledge growth of these individuals so that they may continue to serve their community to the best of their ability. What better way to show God's love than by a desire to serve others?
