If you hear that one of your best friend's had died a gruesome death because they stood up for you, how would you feel? You'd be grieving, probably wanting to get away from everyone to have time for yourself. That's what Jesus did after hearing about John the Baptist's beheading. Jesus went away privately to be alone and contemplate what had happened. People heard about this and gathered where Jesus would be. Did Jesus get angry and tell the people to go away? No. He showed compassion for them and the miracle of the Feeding of the 5,000 took place. So, even though Jesus was upset about his friend's death, He was faithful to help everyone else.
