Today we begin a new series that will lead us up to Easter. For the month of March we will take a close look at what is happening on the cross. Now, you might say, “I know what happened on the cross. Jesus died there.” But there is more to it than just a horrible death. This weekend we start to look at some of the cosmic events that took place when Jesus gave His life for us. Have you ever been in a place that’s really and truly dark? A place with absolutely zero sources of light? It’s a little unsettling, isn’t it? We lose context. We become disoriented. And if we’re honest, sometimes we get scared. There is another kind of darkness that surrounds us. It’s not the absence of light. It’s the darkness of a world without good. A world without God.

There is darkness. But there is a light, too. And not just any light. It’s a light that is overwhelming, all-consuming, and perfectly pure . . . a light that refuses to be ignored. It’s the light of God’s goodness. And it breaks through in the most amazing ways. There is a light that drives away darkness. A light that drives out fear. A light that runs off despair. A light that shines for justice. A light that is comforting, and clarifying ... A light that saves.

This weekend we will bring our Trust series to a close. For the past five weeks we have been talking about how we can have confidence in trusting God. This weekend we will focus on a more horizontal level, and have a conversation about how to trust others, and be a person someone can trust. Looking forward to seeing you this weekend.

This coming weekend is going to be great! We will close out our series, THE ACTS CAMPAIGN with a time of goal setting to grow closer to God in 2024. We are praying this week that God would lead us to set personal goals for next that will draw us closer to Him. Jesus said, My sheep hear my voice. Hopefully, this week you have sensed Him guiding you in your 2024 goals. Come and see this weekend, what the Lord has done.
