Worship

Welcome

God has created a singing people. One of the earliest fruits of salvation is song. Throughout Scripture, we are called again and again to “sing praises to the Lord,” to “shout for joy to God, all the earth,” and to “sing to the Lord a new song.” Singing matters to God—and because it matters to Him, it matters to us.

We believe God is the author of all five senses. As such, it is our calling to guide them toward the beauty of His splendor and majesty. We care deeply about how things look, sound, and feel, not as an end in themselves, but in service of the worship of God. It is our mission to use music and the arts to lead people in singing praises and worshiping God faithfully, as He has commanded us in His Word. As Colossians 3:16 reminds us: “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.”

Bob Kauflin, in his book Worship Matters, asks a sobering question: “If someone was born in our church and grew up singing our songs over the course of twenty years, how well would they know God?” You likely won’t always hear the latest trends or the newest hits in our services. But you will encounter songs that draw you deeper into the richness of God’s Word—songs that can shape your understanding of Him and equip you to live faithfully under the lordship of Jesus Christ.
