Membership & Discover FBMaryville

Membership at First Baptist Maryville is not like a club that we are trying to get people to join. It is more like a family that we want you to experience. Our family experiences life together. We encourage and help each other when one needs help. Our church family loves each other and helps each other when needs arise.

To find out more about membership, we suggest that you attend Discover FBMaryville. This is a fun way to get to know our ministerial staff, meet other newcomers, and get answers to all your questions about our church. We’ll talk about church history, what we believe and why, how we function, and how you can get connected. Sessions are offered on Sunday mornings, so you may choose the one that best fits your schedule.

Following Discover FBMaryville, if you feel you want to join our church, one of our deacons will explain to you the three different ways you can become a member of First Baptist Maryville:

• Baptism. All members have been baptized by immersion. We believe this is the Biblical mode in which Jesus was baptized.

• By moving your membership from another Baptist church of like faith and order.

• By Statement of Faith. If you belonged to a church other than a Baptist church, yet you were baptized by immersion, you can join simply by the statement of your faith in Christ.
