When you come to First Baptist Maryville, expect to be welcomed by smiling faces and encouraging words. We have hundreds of guests come through our doors every year looking for a place to start over. The acceptance they receive and the encouragement they experience brings them back week after week. When you come, you will see people of all ages connecting with each other and experiencing the kindness of Christian love. If you have any questions, feel free to call us during our regular hours of 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Service Times
In-person and Online on Sunday at 8:30, 9:45 & 11 a.m.
When you arrive, please park in one of our guest spaces in Lot B, and enter through the Main Entrance(below the steeple). Once you enter, straight ahead is our Worship Center. We are looking forward to worshiping with you!
As you enter the main lobby, to your left is our Guest Reception room where you can meet someone who can answer any questions you may have. We also have members of our welcome team at the welcome table and at the entrances to the Worship Center who can assist you in finding a Small Group room or locating where our preschool, children and student ministries meet.

There is no dress code to follow. The people who come to our church dress in whatever is comfortable for them. On a typical weekend you will see men wearing jeans and some wearing ties. You will see women wearing dresses and others wearing jeans. We believe God focuses on your heart and not on your clothes so we try to do the same thing.

We provide parking spots for guests and those needing special assistance in the front of our parking lot (Lot B), close to the front doors. Greeters will be at the main entrance to assist those needing help with directions or special needs.

No. You are our guest. We have no expectations of donations or gifts from you. What we have discovered is that our regular attenders and members feel compelled to give in a way that supports the ministries of the church. All of them at one time were guests, but, as they experience personally what God is doing in our church, they are impressed to give and have continued to do so. This is a huge reason why we are able to help and encourage so many people week after week.

We have something for every age group. If your children are kindergarten-aged or older, we suggest having them attend one of the main services with you and then attend an age-specific service during another service time while you are trying out one of our Small Groups.
Infant - Pre-K:

Discovery Town (Preschool Area)
Kindergarten - Grade 4:

Kid City (Children's Area)
Grade 5 - 6:
Sundays at 9:45 a.m.
Preteen area

Sundays at 9:45 a.m. Student Small Groups in the Student Area
Sundays at 11 a.m. in the Worship Center (Look for us up front!)

Typically the service begins with an announcement video followed by a personal welcome & greeting. Following the welcome, our worship team takes the stage and leads the audience in singing some lively, yet worshipful, songs. Some people sing, others simply listen and enjoy. Following the music, one of the pastors will speak about developing a closer relationship to God from a practical perspective. Following his talk, some people may respond by coming forward to pray or visit with one of the pastoral advisors. This is a great time to be encouraged or have someone pray with you and for you. The length of a typical service is a little over an hour.
