For the Future Campaign

First Baptist Church of Maryville is in a season of waiting. While we are waiting for our next Senior Pastor, we need to remain faithful and prepare for the future.

To challenge and equip our congregation during this season, we are launching a one-year discipleship, repair, and replacement campaign called “For the Future.”

Discipleship

First, we want to emphasize reading God’s Word and encourage our congregation to actively pray. In 2027, we will begin a church-wide Bible reading plan. We will also hold Prayer & Praise services regularly so that we can seek the Lord together.

Throughout the year, we will provide focused church-wide opportunities for short-term and ongoing small groups. By emphasizing biblical literacy, spiritual disciplines, prayer, family worship, and mentorship, we can better equip our people to seek the Lord individually, with their families, and as a congregation.

Repair and Replace

This capital campaign would seek to raise approximately $600,000 for currently needed repair and replacement projects (HVAC units, signage, parking lot asphalt and curbing).

An additional $150,000 will provide debt reduction and seed money for future ministry projects.

Our overall goal for the capital campaign is $750,000.

Campaign Timeline

For the Future would begin with a commitment service on Sunday, December 6, 2026, and conclude on December 31, 2027 (unless extended by church leadership).
