Awana

Awana is an international, Bible-centered preschool and children’s ministry for ages 2 - grade 6 that meets on Wednesday evenings from September - May. Our prayer is that all preschoolers and children throughout the world will come to know and love Jesus Christ.

Our Awana Ministry Embraces 4 Principles

●     Awana is centered on the Gospel.
●     Scripture memory is a key element.
●     Awana is exciting and fun.
●     Awana is built on volunteer leadership.

What is Awana at FBM?

Puggles teaches toddlers basic truths about God and equips parents to reinforce these truths in a practical way throughout the week. We participate in Bible story time, playful activities, engaging songs, and simple crafts.

Cubbies displays the greatness of God's character to preschoolers who are constantly asking questions! We participate in large group time (songs, lessons, puppets), games, and handbook time.

Sparks ignites a child’s curiosity to learn about the people and events of the Bible, building a foundation of wisdom for knowing Christ.

T&T takes students on a journey by answering their questions about God and the Bible while guiding them to grow in Christ’s love and live out their faith.

Sparks and T&T have three main parts to their evening:

  • Game Time is exciting and fun!  Because of the action packed fun, we ask that children wear closed-toed shoes.

  • Large Group Time consists of a Biblical message, testimonies, award presentations, and announcements.

  • Handbook Time (Small Group) allows clubbers to recite their memorized verses to their leaders and to further learn and apply God’s Word.

2023-2024 Awana Updates!

Awana restarts with Midweek Kickoff on Wednesday, September 6, 2023.  Awana parents and clubbers are invited to start out at the Midweek Kickoff in the Worship Center before visiting your children’s clubs “Open House” style.  At this first night of Awana, you and your clubber will meet their leaders and pick up their starter materials. You will NOT drop off your clubber until the second night of Awana.  Look for information about Midweek Kickoff on the events page (coming soon), and be sure your clubber wears their uniform if they have one.

Our last regular night will be May 1, 2024.

Awards Night will be held on May 8, 2024.

Registration will open the first week of August. Registration can be completed using the link toward the bottom of this page.  Once registration is open, new clubbers may join at any time during the Awana year.
