Kids First Learning Center is looking for individuals who display a deep relationship with Christ and a desire to work with preschoolers for Him. Our staff provides a Bible-centered preschool learning experience for children 18 months to PreK.

Substitute positions may transition into permanent positions as the need arises.
Principle Function: To assist the absent assistant or teacher in the learning environment.
Immediate Supervisor: Kids First Director
Requirements: Must be a Christian of a similar religious faith who actively attends a church. Previous experience with preschoolers. High school diploma or GED. Pass a criminal background check. Must be available at short notice.
Responsibilities:
Follow the written guidelines for assistants in the Kids First Program.Keep Kids First Teacher and Director informed of children’s behaviors, concerns or problems.
Cover for teachers or assistants in their absence.
Change diapers.
Remove trash from the classroom at the end of the day.
Provide a safe learning environment at all times.
Clean classroom and adjoining bathroom at the end of the day.
Other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule: 9 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. on Mondays through Thursdays as needed.

Principle Function: To provide assistance to the lead teacher Immediate Supervisor: Kids First Director
Requirements: High school diploma, previous experience with preschoolers, and pass a yearly criminal background check. Must be a Christian and an active member of a church.

Be able to teach from a biblically based curriculum.
Be an enthusiastic supporter of the philosophies and ministries of FBCM.
Utilize creative and varied presentations of materials. Remember to keep your posters
and decorations close to the child's eye level.
Pursue professional growth through continuing education and in-service training.
Maintain a team approach under Gods direction.
Value all students and their learning potential.
Keep an open line of communication with each child's parents.
Handle discipline by applying Christian principles to address behavior while meeting the
needs of students.
Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
The teacher assistant is the “Living Curriculum” and should be a model for students in speech, conduct, relationships, work habits and devotion to Christ.
Responsibilities:
Keep Kids First Teacher and Director informed of children’s behaviors, concerns or problems.
Assist staff with both long and short range activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice and program philosophy.
Cover for teachers in their absence.
Change diapers (children under three years old only)
Assist with other areas of Kids First, as needed.
Provide a safe and healthy learning environment at all times
Remove trash, clean classroom and adjoining bathroom at the end of the day
Maintain confidentiality
Report any suspected abuse
Attend in-service and staff meetings
Other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule: 9:00 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. Monday through Thursday, when your class is in session. August-May. Other hours requested by the Kids First Director and teacher as deemed necessary.
