Our Budget for 2024
The premise of our Missions' budget is based on Luke 2:52, which teaches us, 'And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.' This verse highlights four key areas of growth that are important for every individual to focus on: physical, mental, social, and spiritual.
Physically
Jesus grew in stature. He took care of his body by eating healthily, exercising, and getting enough rest. As we travel on Go Team mission trips or support missionaries, we need to ensure they have access to healthy meals, clean water, safe living conditions, and quality medical care.
Mentally
Jesus grew in wisdom. He spent time learning, studying, and thinking critically about the world around him. As we support missions, we need to provide educational resources that help equip missionaries to think and learn effectively within their respective cultures.
Socially
Jesus grew in favor with man. He had healthy relationships with others and spent time investing in those around him. As we support missions, we need to help missionaries connect with the people they are serving and build relationships with them.
Spiritually
Jesus grew in favor with God. He spent time praying, worshiping, and studying the Scriptures. As we support missions, we must provide spiritual support to help missionaries grow in their faith and stay connected to God.
Supporting missions involves addressing the physical, mental, social, and spiritual needs of missionaries and the communities they serve. Through Luke 2:52, we can see that these are all important areas of growth upon which we should focus. By providing critical resources in these areas, we can strengthen and equip missionaries as they share God's love worldwide.
