Ministry Spotlight: Pastor Alberto Felix
fbmmissions has the primary purpose of sharing the Gospel with people who have not heard it.
Currently, Pastor Alberto serves in the communities of Los Guaricanos and La Barquita, both located in Santo Domingo. His ministry encompasses two churches: Iglesia Bautista del Norte Los Guaricanos and Iglesia Bautista Cristiana Nueva Barquita. His mission in the Dominican Republic is to spread the Gospel and bring hope to the lives of those he serves.
Like any ministry, Pastor Alberto faces challenges. One of the most significant personal challenges is financial support for his family. As a church, their primary challenge is preparing individuals for the work God’s word.
Pastor Alberto finds deep satisfaction in his calling to preach. What he cherishes most is witnessing lives being transformed by the power of God's word. It's these moments of transformation, like that of Adela Reyes, that fuels his passion for spreading the gospel.
Adela's story is a powerful example of the impact of Pastor Alberto's ministry. Adela, who once practiced witchcraft, initially hesitated to accept Christ when Pastor Alberto and his wife shared the gospel with her. However, after multiple visits and an invitation to their church, she decided to follow Christ as her only Savior. Adela's transformation from her past practices to her newfound freedom in Christ is evidence of the life-changing power of the gospel.

Pastor Alberto Felix's life is a testament to God’s great love for all of us. His journey to becoming a follower of Christ began in 1998 when, at the age of 20, he received a life-changing invitation from a friend to attend a Church in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Little did he know this invitation would set him on a path to service and ministry that continues to this day.
As he sat in the church listening to the pastor speak, Pastor Alberto heard a message that resonated deep within his heart. The sermon focused on the parable of the foolish rich man, and he felt God's word speaking directly to him. This divine encounter led him to make a confession of faith, solidifying his commitment to follow Christ. Since that pivotal moment in 1998, Pastor Alberto has dedicated his life to serving the Lord.
\In 2007, Pastor Alberto felt the calling to step into the role of a pastor. This decision wasn't made lightly; it came as a result of God placing a strong and persistent desire in his heart for the lost souls in his community. Through prayer, meditation on God's word, and deep reflection, this desire grew into a clear calling to proclaim the gospel and share the message of salvation.
