fbmmissions is committed to bringing joy, nourishment, and community to Fairmont City all summer long! Through our Summer Lunch Ministry, we aim to provide more than just meals — we create an environment where families can feel supported and cared for, while also building relationships and having fun together.

Our Mission

Our Fairmont City Ministries exist to serve families in Fairmont City, IL by addressing their spiritual, physical, and emotional needs. During the summer months, many children and families face food insecurity. The Summer Lunch Ministry steps in to bridge that gap by offering nutritious meals and a chance for children to engage in fun, faith-centered activities.

What We Do

From June through August, every week, we provide:

  • Nutritious lunches to ensure children receive the essential food they need to stay healthy and active.

  • Engaging activities designed to promote creativity, build friendships, and foster a sense of community.

  • Spiritual encouragement through short, Christ-centered lessons and interactions that help children and families grow in their faith

How You Can Help

The Summer Lunch Ministry thrives on the support of our volunteers. Whether you can serve every week or just once, your time and effort make a real difference in the lives of families in Fairmont City. Volunteer opportunities include:

  • Preparing and serving lunches

  • Leading activities and games

  • Offering a listening ear and building relationships with the community
