Our ministry provides Thanksgiving meals to families in need within our church and local communities. 

How to Get Involved

If you're looking to sign up to serve, here's how it works:

  • Event Sign-Up: Official registration opens closer to the event. When it’s time, you’ll find it listed on our Events Page.

  • Interested Now? You can click the button below to express interest in Thanksgiving Baskets (or any of our Go Teams). We'll connect you with the right team when the time comes.

We recommend doing both—check out the Events Page around event season and fill out the interest form to stay in the loop!

  • Join us for the FBM Thanksgiving Food Drive 2024! Our mission is to provide Thanksgiving meals to 100 families in need, each receiving three bags of groceries and a gift card for perishable items. We welcome volunteers to help in various capacities: sorting and storing donations, picking up groceries from Schnucks, packing bags, and distributing food to families. Your support is vital, and we appreciate any time you can offer. To sign up for a role that fits your schedule, please use the Volunteer Schedule Sign-Up button above.     Weekly Sorting and Storing of Donations
    Location: Church Lobby

    • Monday, November 4, 2024: 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. (2 volunteers)

    • Monday, November 11, 2024: 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. (2 volunteers)

    • Monday, November 18, 2024: 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. (6 volunteers)

    Pick-Up Groceries from Schnucks
    Meet at Schnucks

    • Monday, November 18, 2024: 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. (3 volunteers with a truck or large vehicle)

    Packing Groceries for Distribution
    Location: Church Gym

    • Wednesday, November 20, 2024:

      • 3:00 p.m. – 3:45 p.m.: MCHS students will set up tables/groceries for packing

      • 6:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.: Instructions for packing procedure (15 volunteers needed to supervise Awana students; 4 male volunteers needed to assist with moving packed groceries and tables)

      • 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.: Awana students pack groceries with supervision

      • 8:00 p.m. – 8:15 p.m.: Clean up

    Distribution of Groceries
    Location: Church Lobby

    • Thursday, November 21, 2024: 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. (2 volunteers)

    • Friday, November 22, 2024: 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. (2 volunteers)

    • Saturday, November 23, 2024: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (2 volunteers)
