Day 23 | Joseph
Scripture: Matthew 1:18-25
Yesterday we talked about Jesus’ mother, Mary. Jesus also had an earthly father named Joseph, who was a carpenter.
God sent an angel to talk to Joseph in a dream. The angel explained that God had chosen Mary, and that Mary’s baby would be very special.
When Joseph woke up, he knew that he and Mary were a part of God’s plan. Joseph knew that God was calling him to love and care for Mary and God’s Son, Jesus.

Gospel Conversation
Joseph was told in a dream about God’s big plan, not only for Joseph and Mary, but for the whole world. “She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” Jesus grew up and lived a perfect life. He never sinned. Then He died on the cross to take the punishment for our sins. But he didn't stay dead. He rose from the grave. He is alive! And now, through our belief in Jesus, we can be saved from our sin and are promised that God will always be with us.
