This weekend we will take a little side road in our series. We will still talk about a King and people in power, but we will shift to the New Testament and look at the last days of Jesus on earth. He had some interesting encounters with powerful people in those last hours on earth. We will also observe the Lord’s Supper this weekend. This is always a special time together. See you are church!

This weekend we will look at another King who had a lot going for him, but the legacy he left was not what he wanted. What made them unique, what mistakes they made and when they got it right. To kick off the series we will give God’s instructions about what the people should look for in royalty. Everyone has a “past.” Did you know that your connection to the past can guide your future? You’ve probably heard the saying, “Those that fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.” Well, God’s Word is a record of His activity in the past and it can certainly guide your future! Mother’s Day is this coming Sunday! We look forward to seeing all the amazing ladies in our church this weekend. In an effort to make the day special, we will have opportunities to take pictures in the lobby and every woman will receive a gift. We will also learn about three Mother’s in the Scripture that made incredible impacts yet are often overlooked or unnoticed. We will follow their attitudes and their decisions as they went through moves that were difficult yet, rewarding. HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE! This weekend we will take a look at the last few days Jesus spent with His disciples. We will zoom in on a unique perspective from one of Jesus’ disciples and see how those last days often mirror our lives.

This coming weekend marks the beginning of Passion Week. It is the week that we observe Jesus’ passionate arrival in Jerusalem. He knows what awaits Him there and He wants us to know that He knows what He is doing. As we consider the events of that week in the life of Jesus and His disciples it is important for us to remember. So, we will remember through observing the Lord’s Supper. Please come prepared for God to speak to you in a meaningful way as we reflect on how He approached life and death.

Have you ever walked on a red carpet? Has anyone ever rolled out the red carpet for you? This weekend as we Walk With Jesus, we will see how He showed how to value people. Once again, we will see how the Disciples were slow to pick up on His message. Maybe this weekend we will be quicker to understand what He is trying to teach us.
