How to Get Involved

If you're looking to sign up to serve, here's how it works:

  • Event Sign-Up: Official registration opens closer to the event. When it’s time, you’ll find it listed on our Events Page.

  • Interested Now? You can click the button below to express interest in Backpack Blowout (or any of our Go Teams). We'll connect you with the right team when the time comes.

We recommend doing both—check out the Events Page around event season and fill out the interest form to stay in the loop!

Backpack Blowout Overview

Be part of Backpack Blowout, our annual outreach event that provides free school supplies and dental care to children and families in need. This event helps equip local kids with the essentials they need to start the school year prepared and confident.

Interested Now?

    • Limited supplies will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

    • Available to Madison County, IL residents only. Please bring proof of residency (driver’s license, utility bill, etc.).

    • All children must be present to receive supplies.

    • Families are responsible for their own transportation to and from the event.

    Additionally, Dental Safari, a mobile dental service, will be onsite offering free dental check-ups, including exams, cleanings, fluoride treatments, and sealants for children from birth to 19 years old.

  • We rely on volunteers to make Backpack Blowout a success! Whether you can help with packing backpacks, distributing supplies, or post-event clean-up, your time and effort will make a difference.

    • Day-of Event Help: Handing out supplies, assisting with logistics, and post-event clean-up

  • Become a Sponsor
    Help provide school supplies for local children in need by sponsoring a backpack or making a donation. Every sponsorship goes directly toward ensuring students have the tools they need to succeed.
