April | Grace

Grace is the free gift of God's love without conditions.
Grace is an undeserved gift that can’t be earned.
Grace is what transforms hearts.
Grace helps us live a life that looks like Jesus.

Valuable Verses

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.” Romans 3:23-24

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9 (25 in 25 Verse)

A Word of Encouragement
Have you ever been given a gift that just keeps on giving? I am sure we all have received those beautiful Christmas cards in the mail, covered in glitter, and you keep finding specks of glitter for months after the fact. Well, grace is just like this. As a believer, grace is one the greatest undeserved and unearned gifts we have ever been freely given, but it is also the gift that continues to give. Grace continues to shape us as we grow as believers. It is the gift of salvation as we come to know Christ, and is the gift that strengthens and redeems us when we fail. Grace is what transforms us and teaches us to care for and extend kindness to others. Grace is what changes us, draws us closer and makes us more like Jesus, giving us hope of eternity. Praise God for His grace that is greater than all our sin!

Get the Conversation Going
Take a moment to discuss these questions as a family:
• What does God’s grace look like in your life? How is God’s grace shaping and changing you?
• Why is it important to extend grace to others?
• God has given us each the undeserved and unearned gift of grace. How does that knowledge shape your family interactions?

Gospel Connection
By God’s grace and faith in what Jesus did for us on the cross, we will desire to live a life marked by love and kindness to others on earth, and look forward to eternity with Jesus.
